mimi lok is a writer and arts educator, and serves as the executive director/editor of the McSweeney’s Voice of Witness series. She holds a B.A. in Fine Art from Northumbria University, U.K., and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University. She has lived and worked in England, Hong Kong and the U.S., and has contributed to various publications, including the Washington Post, USA Today, Hyphen, Dimsum, and nimble.
As well as her work with Voice of Witness, mimi consults for literary and arts education programs around the world. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, artist Julien Lallemand.
